Home Visits

Doctor's bag

If you are too ill to come to the surgery please telephone before 11:00 (except in an emergency) so that the doctors can plan their visits. The doctor may ring you back to discuss your symptoms before visiting. Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Home visits usually take place between 12:00 and15:00.

If you are hard of hearing and have a suitable hearing aid fitted our nurse or doctor can bring a portable loop system. Please specify at the time of booking your appointment if this is necessary.

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
